Sara Montiel

Sara Montiel ( born March 10, 1928 in Consuegra, province of Ciudad Real, Spain as María Antonia Alejandra Vicenta Elpidia Isidora Abad Fernández, † April 8, 2013 in Madrid) was a Spanish actress.

Life

As a 16 -year-old Montiel won a talent competition and was hired by the producer Vicente Casanova for her first film. In 1950 she went to Hollywood, where she achieved success in the movies Vera Cruz on the side of Burt Lancaster and Serenade next Mario Lanza.

In 1957 she returned to Spain, where she one of the most successful films of Spain turned in the same year: El último cuplé of Juan de Orduna. 1974 withdrew Sara Montiel from the film business. She performed in local television on as in stage shows and went to great American tour, so 1975.

Sara Montiel was married four times, including with director Anthony Mann. She was the mother of two children.
