The avoidance of Sarajevo is a road project in and around Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Route

The most important part of the bypass is the A1 motorway from Gornja Jošanica, north of Sarajevo, on Butila after Vlakovo, south of Sarajevo. In Butila also creates a motorway junction with the future city highway Sarajevo. The first section of this city highway will initially act as feeder after Briješće, a suburb of Sarajevo.

Description

The motorway section of Gornja Jošanica after Butila is 5.7 km long and has two tunnels with a length of 270 m (tunnel Ostrik ) or 400 m (tunnel Ozega ). The section from Butila after Vlakovo is first expanded only as a half- highway and has only one tunnel (tunnel Treševine, 165 m). The first part of the city highway Sarajevo is 3.5 km long and has among other things a viaduct with a length of 900 m, which leads over the tracks of the railway line Ploce - Vinkovci.

Progress

The avoidance of Sarajevo was divided into three sections. The complete bypass to be completed by the end of 2014.

The first section runs from the junction Jošanica to the motorway junction Butila and the tunnel Ostrik (length: 270 m ), and Ožega (length: 400 m ) and the bridges Ostrik (length: 140 m ), Riječica (length: 90 m ) and Reljevo (length: 190 m).

The contract to build the first part of the piece with a length of 5.6 kilometers, was signed in 2005 Construction of the bypass was on 17 October 2007. On 16 October 2008, the tunnel Ostrik was pierced was the first tunnel in the course of the A1 and the bypass. The completion of the bypass was originally scheduled for July 30, 2010 but the deadline could not be met and has been postponed several times. On February 7, 2011, there came finally to terminate the contract with the Slovenian construction company SCT. It was followed by another call and a contract with the construction company Strabag and HP Investing doo on 24 April 2012. The construction costs were 33 million convertible mark (equivalent to approximately 16.9 million Euros ) quantified. The completion was set at the 31 October 2012. In August 2012, the plan was to have the part of Gornja Jošanica after Butila implemented by the end of 2012. However, the completion had to be postponed to the year 2013. As a new date April 2013 has been set. This date could not be met. Completion took place on 22 May 2013.

The second section runs from the motorway junction Butila to the junction Vlakovo and includes the tunnel Treševine (length: 165 m ) and the bridges Bojnik (length: 190 m), Treševine (length: 140 m ) and Rogačići (length: 142 m).

The contract for the construction of the second section with a length of 4.1 kilometers, was signed on 6 February 2008. The section runs from Butila about Briješće by Stup. Completion was scheduled for December 2013. However, the completion delayed until 31 January 2014 [ deprecated].
