Sarbinowo Drugie

Sarbinowo Drugie ( German: Good Sarbinowo ) is a district in the Kujawsko - Pomerania in Poland. He belongs to the urban and rural community Janowiec Wielkopolski powiat Żniński and lies at an altitude of about 95 meters above sea level.

Geography

The administrative center of the city and rural community in the small town Janowiec Wielkopolski is about 7.5 km in a north-westerly direction away from Sarbinowo Drugie. Main source of income of the village is agriculture. Since the area around the village has many lakes and rivers, including the tourism is an ever more evolving source of income for the inhabitants.

History

The Nazis changed the Slavic name in Sarbinowo Good Scharnhorst, probably after the Prussian General Gerhard von Scharnhorst. The name suffix Drugie is Polish and means simply another or second Sarbinowo because in powiat Żniński yet another Sarbinowo of eight same places in Poland exist.
