Savanes (Ivory Coast)
Savanes (French: savannas ) is a former administrative region of the Ivory Coast, with its capital Korhogo.
Population
One estimate from 2007, according to Savanes has about 1,386,445 inhabitants and thus in an area of 40,323 km ², a population density of 34 inhabitants per km ². At the last census in the year 1988 743.279 inhabitants were counted.
Geography
Savanes is located in the north of Ivory Coast, bordered to the east by Zanzan, to the south by Vallée du Bandama and Worodougou and to the west by Denguelé. To the north are Mali and Burkina Faso. The region is divided into four departments Boundiali, Boundiali, Korhogo and Tengrela. divided.
