Savino Bernardo Maria Cazzaro Bertollo

Savino Bernardo Maria Cazzaro Bertollo OSM ( born November 28, 1924 in Abbazia Pisani ) is Archbishop Emeritus of Puerto Montt and participants in the last two sessions of the Second Vatican Council.

Life

Savino Bernardo Maria Cazzaro Bertollo joined the Order of the Servites, and received on 16 April 1949, the ordination.

Paul VI. appointed him on June 6, 1977 Titular Bishop of Pyrgos and Vicar Apostolic of Aysen and was introduced on 12 April of the next year into office. The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation de Propaganda Fide Grégoire -Pierre XV. Cardinal Agagianian consecrated him on February 13 of next year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were Zinato Carlo, Bishop of Vicenza, and Antonio Mistrorigo, Bishop of Treviso.

On 8 February 1988 he was appointed Archbishop of Puerto Montt. On 27 February 2001, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation due to age.
