Schodno

Schodno is a hamlet in the parish Dziemiany, Circle Koscierski in northern Poland. Geographically Schodno amidst the Pomeranian Lake District, the Kashubian in forests about 70 km south-west of Gdansk (Gdansk ) and about 80 west of Marienburg ( Malbork ). Schodno belongs administratively to the municipality Dziemiany, Circle Koscierski ( Berent ). Historically and culturally it belongs to the region of the Kashubian.

Minted is Schodno as rural settlement with a few yards and a few houses, the latter mostly simple cottages. The population is officially given as 70. To the town has a small lake, which Schodno Lake ( Jezioro Schodno ).

The only institutional facility located in Schodno an old schoolhouse, which had been founded in the late 19th century as part of the introduction of universal compulsory education in order to provide the rural population with a basic education can. The paths from the west ( from the National Road 235) are even more difficult than the already adventurous arrival via Waglikowice.
