The School for Creative and Performing Arts ( SCPA ) is a public school in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, which was founded in 1973.
Short Description
It is regarded as one of the first magnet schools in the United States, the gifted children and adolescents allows both an artistic as well as a sound academic education.
Is taught from primary school to high school graduation. The aim of the school is to encourage young people in the fields of drama, dance, musical, creative writing, visual arts and music.
Application Procedure
Prospective students are required to undergo an entrance exam. Less than 20 % of applicants are accepted. The examinations take place in the fall.
