Scinax ariadne

Scinax ariadne is a species of the subfamily Froschlurch Hylinae within the family of tree frogs. After Faivovich et al. (2005 ) the species is counted within the genus Scinax to Scinax Catharinae clade.

Duellman & Wiens (1992 ) found the species in the genus Scinax.

Description

This medium-sized compared to other members of the genus kink toes tree frog has a characteristic circular contour around the head, a dark back staining with silver drawing and a dark dorsal coloration of the limbs with transverse white stripes.

Dissemination

This endemic species is in Brazil so far only from the " Parque Nacional da Serra da Bocaina ", which is located in the two states of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, from altitudes 500-1600 m above sea level. NN known.

Habitat and Ecology

Scinax ariadne found in vegetation near streams, which he uses to reproduce, in primary forest and secondary forest.

Endangering

The IUCN lists Scinax ariadne as Data Deficient because too little is known about the distribution and ecological requirements. However, the species is not rare, shows a stable population trend and, as already mentioned, in a conservation area before. Therefore, no hazards are known tart.
