Scorpion Child is a classic rock band from Austin (Texas ).
History
The band was founded in 2006 in Austin (Texas ). After minor appearances in the local scene the band in 2010 could make at SXSW Music Festival in Austin for the first time attention of a larger audience. In June 2013 their self-titled debut album was released.
Style
The band sees himself influenced by Krautrock and psychedelic rock of the early 1970s, bands like Pentagram, Hairy Chapter and Lucifer's Friend and the Southern Blues of Blind Willie Johnson, Willie McTell or Lemon Jefferson.
