Scott Kneller

Scott Kneller ( born May 19, 1989 in Cooma, New South Wales) is an Australian freestyle skis. He specializes in the discipline of ski cross.

Biography

Kneller learned to ski at the age of three years. As usual with Skicrossern, he was first an alpine ski racer. He was Australia's representative at the Trofeo Topolino and took from December 2004 participated in FIS races, mainly in the disciplines of slalom and giant slalom. Apart from national junior championship titles remained of significant success in this sector, which is why he switched to ski cross in 2008.

His debut in the Freestyle World Cup had Kneller on January 5, 2009 in St. Johann in Tyrol, where he went on place 53. The first World Cup points, he won a month later with 15th place at Cypress Mountain. He qualified for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games; on this occasion he achieved seventh place until then best result of his career. The breakthrough of the world leaders he succeeded on 19 December 2010 with the first World Cup victory in San Candido.
