Scouting for Girls

Scouting for Girls is a three-man British Pop-/Rockband. It was founded in 2005 in the London suburb of Ruislip by long time friends Roy Stride, Greg and Peter Ellard Churchouse. The band's name is a pun on the title of the handbook Scouting for Boys, with Robert Baden- Powell in 1908 laid the foundation of the world scout movement.

Band History

The band was taken on 14 February 2007 by the British record label Epic under contract. In June 2007, appeared under the title It's Not About You the first EP of the band. It shows clear influences from bands like Electric Furs. The release went straight to number 31 on the UK Singles Charts, making it the highest debut EP with a limited edition in the pop history of the country. The first single She's So Lovely reached in early September, the top ten of the UK charts and stayed there for six weeks. The follow-up single Elvis Is not Dead came in the top ten.

On September 17, 2007 she released in the UK, named after the band's debut album. For more than 200,000 copies sold, it was awarded two gold records. End of January 2008, it reached # 1 on the UK album charts for the first time.

Reception
