Sea Wolf (Band)

Sea Wolf is an American indie folk band from Los Angeles, California.

History

The lead singer Alex Brown Church attended NYU Film School and in 1998 became a founding member of the band Irving. Many of the songs written by him did not fit to the music direction of the band and so Church began with Sea Wolf in Los Angeles with changing musicians and demo recordings in Seattle with producer Phil Ek ( Band of Horses, The Shins, Fleet Foxes ). Sea Wolf signed in 2007 Dangerbird Records, and brought the first EP Get To The River Before It Runs Too Low and an album under the title Leaves In The River out.

September 22, 2009 Sea Wolf published the second studio album under the title White Water, White Bloom. The album was produced by Mike Mogis ( Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk, M. Ward) in Omaha.

In addition to singer Alex Brown Church, are the current members of Sea Wolf Lisa Fendelander (keyboard), Theodore Liscinski ( bass), Joey Ficken (drums), Nathan Anderson ( guitar) and Joyce Lee ( cello).
