Sean Stewart

Sean Stewart ( born June 2, 1965 in Lubbock, Texas ) is an American- Canadian science fiction and fantasy author.

Life

Although born in Texas, he found himself at the age of 3 years to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. From the university in 1987 he was awarded an Honors degree in English.

Since then he has published a series of fantasy novels. With these sometimes quite realistic -looking works, he has had great success especially in Canada. For his novel Galveston in 1991, he received both the World Fantasy Award and the Sunburst Award, and hence greater recognition worldwide. He was awarded the Arthur Ellis Award from the Crime Writers of Canada in the Best First Crime Novel category in 1993.

He now lives with his wife and two daughters in Davis, California.
