Sebastián Crismanich

Sebastián Crismanich ( born October 30, 1986 in Corrientes ) is an Argentine Taekwondoin. It starts in the weight category up to 80 kilograms.

Crismanich came up with seven years of Taekwondo. He played his first international title fights at the World Championships 2005 in Madrid, where he was eliminated in the class up to 72 kg in the quarter -finals. In the following years he was especially successful at the Pan Championships. In 2006 he won in Buenos Aires in the class up to 72 kg for the first time the title, in 2008 he repeated the triumph in the class up to 78 kg. His biggest success so far sporty Crismanich at the Pan American Games 2011 in Guadalajara. He won in the category up to 80 kg with a final victory over Carlos Vázquez the gold medal.

At the Pan-American Olympic qualifying tournament in Santiago de Querétaro Crismanich reached in the class up to 80 kg the final against Steven Lopez and secured the participation in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. There he won the gold medal with a 1-0 victory in the finals over the Spaniard Nicolás García and thus the first in this sport in Argentina's sports history. He is the first Argentine Olympic champion for 64 years in an individual sport.

Crismanich studied in Córdoba Agricultural Sciences. His brother Mauro is a successful Taekwondo.
