Sebastian Dehmer

Sebastian Dehmer ( born February 14, 1982 in Darmstadt ) is a former German triathlete. He was Triathlon Junior World Champion and 2004 then U23 World Champion 2001.

Career

Sebastian Dehmer started in 1998 in his first triathlon. After his graduation in 2000 he moved to sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr to Mainz, where he works as a sports soldier. Sebastian taker was at age 22 one of the youngest participants in the starting field of the triathlon at the Olympic Games in Athens and took there the 26th place. He became German champion in 2005 in Potsdam. He represented the German Triathlon Union (DTU ) for international events, launched primarily via the Olympic Distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) and was a member of the German Triathlon team.

2007 Dehmer was in Copenhagen as a team with the Ravensburger Daniel Unger and Potsdamer Franz Löschke European Champion in the team competition. He started for the team TuS Griesheim. As a result, but he had to retire for health reasons from professional sports. Dehmer studied design at the University of Darmstadt and was owner and manager of a children's fashion company.

In 2010, Sebastian Dehmer announced a comeback on the Olympic distance and his goal was a start in the Olympics in 2012. 2012 he retired but then finally from the professional events back and has since worked as a race organizer.

He now lives with his wife and their two sons in Griesheim.
