Sebastian Krüger

Sebastian Krüger ( * June 30, 1963 in Hameln ) is a free painter who is best known for his caricatures.

Life and work

Sebastian Kruger attended the Heinrich Göbel -Realschule in Springe. After studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braunschweig with Prof. Dörfler he made as a designer of numerous press titles pictures at home and abroad, as an illustrator and not least as a creative creator of various album covers Furore, before he withdrew from this area in order to devote himself whole again free painting. His artistic development from the former so-called "star caricaturist " led him in recent years to become a star of the New Pop Realism, whose art worlds of world stars like the friend of his Rolling Stones and art connoisseurs from around the world are estimated and collected.

Kruger has been in the quarter century of his work dedicated to the game of deception with his creative identity and pose, with the authenticity of fiction in the spirit of a New Pop Art, and thus established itself as a popular painter. The creative reflection on the machinery of media production, which iconomania contemporary image production, is the defining characteristic of his works; his faces are a tribute to the world of beautiful appearances, to the rock and pop culture of the sixties, to which the painter has cultivated an almost ritualistic relationship. According to their own statement about his work ( "Everything is only a transition " ) he has devoted himself for several years with the same artistic passion of working up the private space of his childhood in the same period.

The artist lives and works in Hanover and in California.
