Sébastien Michaud

Sébastien Michaud ( born May 7, 1987 in Joliette ) is a Canadian Taekwondo. It starts in the weight category up to 80 kilograms.

Michaud takes part in international competitions since 2003. He celebrated in 2006 in Buenos Aires, where he Panamerican champion in the class up to 78 kg his first big success. The following year he started for the first time at the World Championships in Beijing. He was stopped surprising only in the semifinals of Steven Lopez and won the bronze medal. Michaud qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In the category up to 80 kg, he left in the quarterfinals. At the 2009 World Championships in Copenhagen, he struggled again to the semifinals, where he again lost to Lopez and again won bronze. Michaud won the American Olympic Qualification Tournament in 2011 in Santiago de Querétaro the decisive battle for third place, and she qualified for his second Olympic Games 2012 in London.

Michaud trained under Alain Bernier at Club Taekwondo Sainte -Foy. He studied at the University of Laval.
