Secretariat of the Interior (Mexico)

The Secretaría de Gobernación ( SEGOB, German Government Secretariat ) is the Mexican political institution for internal policy, comparable to a home office. The SEGOB was founded in 1884 and is headquartered in Mexico City. For public safety, the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP ) is responsible in Mexico.

The SEGOB is under the " Under-Secretariat of the Government " ( Subsecretaría de Gobierno ), and the Subsecretaría de Enlace -Law, which deals with issues relating to the legislation. With legal affairs and human rights, the Subsecretaría de Asuntos y Derechos Humanos Jurídicos and Subsecretaría de Población, Migración y Asuntos Religiosos deals with the topics of population, migration and religious affairs. In addition to a further sub- secretariat " normativity of means " ( normatividad de Medios ) belongs to SEGOB nor the General Coordination Office of Civil Defense ( Coordinación General de Protección Civil).

Furthermore, the Secretariat and the Directorate-General for media Dirección General de Radio, Televisión y Cinematografía ( RTC), and the Mexican secret service, the Centro de Investigación y Seguridad Nacional ( CISEN ) is assumed.
