Security Council of Russia

The Security Council of the Russian Federation (Russian Совет Безопасности Российской Федерации, translit. Bezopasnosti Soviet Rossiiskoi Federacii, English:. Security Council of the Russian Federation, SCRF ) is a committee of the most important politician in Russia for joint decision-making.

Originally, the Security Council in 1992 by the then Russian President Boris Yeltsin was created by decree in order to advise the Head of State in matters relating to internal and external security policy. Today, Article 83 of the Constitution assigns to Russia: " The President of the Russian Federation: [ ... ] g) form and head the Security Council of the Russian Federation, whose status is determined by the Federal Law "
