Sekouba Bambino

Sékouba Bambino (* 1964 in Kintinya, Guinea, actually: Sékouba Diabaté ) is a Guinean singer.

He comes from a family of griots, in whose tradition is his music. In 1979 he participated for the first time at the National Arts Festival in the capital Conakry in part, became a member of Bembeya Jazz National, participated in tours through Africa, Europe and North America. Bembeya Jazz National was one of the state-supported initiative of the dictator Ahmed Sékou Touré groups. In 1991 he released his first solo album, the six others followed. In the meantime, he was part of the group Africando that produced Afro-Cuban music.
