Seksan Piturat (2011)

Seksan Piturat ( Thai: เศ ก สรรค์ ปิตุ รัตน์, born January 2, 1976 in Mae Hong Son ) is a former Thai football player.

Career

Seksan, nicknamed James, his career began in 1996 in the Thai Premier League at BEC Tero Sasana. He started first on the position of defensive midfielder, but was also used in the defense. His coach said, however, it would be better if he would sometimes play striker, as this would improve his game. In his first game on the position of the striker he scored two goals, whereupon the storm to his future position was master. Until 2004, he played with BEC Tero Sasana and celebrated his greatest triumphs with this club. Overall, he ran to 149 times for the club, scoring 81 goals. With BEC Tero he won two championships, two runner-up, the Thai FA Cup and reached the final of the 2003 AFC Champions League. Both in the way - as well as in the return match in the final round he was in the starting line-up. In the first leg but was replaced already in the 26th minute. In 1998 he was voted player of the year in the Thai Premier League. After 8 years with BEC Tero, he joined the 2004/05 season for FC PEA. At the end of the season he again achieved a runner-up title with his new club. As of 2006, it went with his career steadily downhill. Although he helped return the TOT FC in the Premier League and secured the league the following year, but he played with the clubs FC and Police United Raj Vithi only in the second division. 2008 Seksan finally ended his active career.

His first international match played Seksan in 1999. He took the national team to the Southeast Asian Games in 1999. In the group match against the Philippine national football team, he scored the 5-0 and achieved his first international goal. In the end, he won the gold medal with the team. In 2000, he reached his greatest success at national level when he took to Thailand at the ASEAN Football Championship title.

Seksan visited the Sripatum University in his youth.
