Selecta (Afrojack song)

Selecta is a song by Dutch DJ and music producer Afrojack in collaboration with Quintino. The single was the first time available from 16 May 2011 by iTunes in the United States. The song was written by and composed by Afrojack Quintino and Afrojack and produced. It is included on the album " Super Club Ibiza ' from 2011, a compilation of four nightclubs Cream, Pacha, Gatecrasher and Ministry of Sound, and has a length of five minutes and 47 seconds. A music video was not released.

Listen the first time you could Selecta on 2 May 2011, the date on which the official audio version appeared on the Channel of Spinnin Records. The video was November 2012 over a million views. Critics took Selecta mixed on the charts was the only song in the Netherlands. The lyrics has no real meaning.

Add to Nederlandse Top 100, the Dutch charts, which also with Airplay Anticipated, Selecta reached a 74th place. Overall the song remained seven weeks in these charts. 37th place in the Dutch Top 40 is reached, the song stayed a total of three weeks in this chart.

Criticism

The song received mixed review. Said John Price of Really Very stated that it seemed as if the song does not contain Imagination, from the quiet, boring beat to the predictable drop out. Selecta was definitely not the worst song of all time - but he would have expected more imagination of two people who can produce clearly better music than this product. The song got from him " very average " three stars. According Martian sound logic Selecta would be another example of that would have always done well with his house melodies and the Dutch- House - Drops Afrojack. In recent times, the song was an important part of his live shows, and as Afrojack let it " drop " during Coachella, a large part of the audience went nuts.
