Self-Realization Fellowship

Self-Realization Fellowship / Yogoda Satsanga Society of India is a worldwide spiritual organization founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda. It is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

Description

After the founder's death in 1952 was Rajarsi Janakananda ( James J. Lynn ), a closest confidant Yogananda, at the top of the organization. He was succeeded in 1955 Daya Mata ( Faye Wright), one of the first and closest disciples of Yogananda, as President.

Trivia

Elvis Presley unnoticed frequently visited by the public facilities of the SRF and used it as a place of rest and reflection. With Daya Mata he formed a close friendship.
