The Seoul World Cup Stadium is a football stadium, opened in November 2001 in the South Korean capital Seoul. The second largest with a capacity of about 66 806 spectators arena of the country is the venue of FC Seoul.

In the Football World Cup 2002, three games took place there ( as in almost all of the 20 World Cup stadiums ), including the opening match between Senegal and France and the semi-final between Germany and South Korea.

The construction costs of about 180 million euros, making it the third most expensive in the ten South Korean World Cup stadiums - however, all ten Japanese arenas were more expensive.
