Serge Branco

Serge Branco ( born October 11, 1980 in Cayenne, Cameroon ) is a Cameroonian football player. He also has French nationality.

Club career

Branco began his career as a professional footballer in 1998 Eintracht Braunschweig. In the year 2000 2003 from there moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, VfB Stuttgart, where he, however, more games for the second than for the first team graduated. After a total of 21 Bundesliga matches and two goals for Frankfurt and Stuttgart in 2004 he went to England to Leeds United, but where he could not prevail. There followed in 2005 a change to the second division side Queens Park Rangers, before the midfielder on Schinnik Yaroslavl Krylia Sovetov Samara landed in Russia in 2006. After he was removed there in January 2008 from the squad to Branco held the English third division side FC Millwall fit. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved to second division MSV Duisburg. Although he was a regular player under Rudi Bommer, he was singled out during the winter break from the new Duisburg head coach Peter Neururer and should look for a new club. For the 2009/10 season changed Branco to the Greek first division PAE Levadiakos, where he signed a contract until 2012. For Levadiakos he completed 18 league games. For the 2010/2011 season he moved to Poland Wisła Kraków.

National team career

Branco played a total of twelve caps for the Cameroonian national football team. At the Olympic Games in Sydney he won in 2000 with his country the gold medal.
