Serge-Christophe Kolm

Serge -Christophe Kolm ( born 1932 ) is a French economist and econometrician, who worked in social science institutes, inter alia, in the United States ( professor at Harvard University and at Stanford University), and in France, some in leadership positions. His research and publications that apply the theories of social justice and economic development. In econometrics, the Theil index of the class of Kolm indices is attributed, by the concept of entropy was applied for quantitative statements about the unequal distribution of resources. Kolm is a graduate of the University École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and a doctorate from the Université de Fribourg.

Another issue Kolms is Buddhism. In 1982, Le Bonheur appeared Liberté, Bouddhisme profond et Modernité. In chapter 22 of the book Le bouddhisme et les « hommes économiques " he considered the issue of " economy" both from the Buddhist as well as from an economic point of view.
