Sergey Brin
Sergei Mikhailovich Brin (Russian: Сергей Михайлович Брин, scientific transliteration Sergei Brin Michajlovič, more common English spelling Sergey Brin, born August 21, 1973 in Moscow) is an American computer scientist and entrepreneur.
He developed along with Larry Page, the Google search engine. The prototype was launched on September 7, 1998. He is also CTO of the company Google Inc. According to Forbes 2014 list of the assets of Sergey Brin is about 31.8 billion U.S. dollars. He ranked No. 19 in accordance with the list of the richest people in the world. Forbes list.
Life
Sergey Brin was born in Moscow, the son of the mathematician Michael Brin. Both parents were Jewish, and especially the father had to suffer under the covert anti-Semitism in the Soviet Union, the Jews made it difficult academic career. In September 1978, the family for an exit visa, which was finally granted after some harassment and Sergey Brin left in May 1979 at the age of five with his family to the Soviet Union for the United States. He attended the Montessori School in Adelphi (Maryland) and was at the same time by the father, who worked as a professor of mathematics at the University of Maryland, taught at home. After attending the Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, he began a study of computer science and mathematics at the University of Maryland, from which he graduated in May 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a predicate with honors. He then studied with a scholarship from the National Science Foundation computer science at Stanford University and began a promotion that he has still not complete because of Google's founding there.
The IPO of the company Brin was a multi-billionaire. He was from 2004 to 2005 its assets more than seven-fold, according to the list of "World's Richest People" by Forbes magazine. Since May 2007 he has been married to Anne Wojcicki. The two have a son, Benji, who came into the world in December 2008 and a daughter, Wojin, who was born in late 2011.
