Sergey Ryazansky

Sergei Nikolaevich Rjasanski (Russian: Сергей Николаевич Рязанский; born November 13, 1974 in Moscow, USSR ) is a Russian cosmonaut.

Training

Rjasanski studied from 1991 at the Faculty of Moscow State University virologically - biological and graduated in 1996 as a biochemist. Then he bagann as a researcher at the Institute for Medical and Biological Problems ( IMBP ) of the State Scientific Centre ( GNZ ) to work. From March to April 2000, he was a member of the seventh team SFINCSS (Simulation of Flight of International Crew on Space Station) .. In 2006, he became a Ph.D. doctorate in biology.

Spaceman

Sergei Rjasanski was selected in 2003 as a research and test cosmonaut and completed his basic training from 16 June 2003 to 27 June 2005. He was selected as commander of the Kosmononautengruppe IMBP. After leaving the IMBP he was transferred to the group of cosmonauts Cosmonauts Training Center, 2010. In 2009 he took part in a 105- day mission in part as part of the Mars -500 experiment.

On his first space flight launched Rjasanski on September 25, 2013 Soyuz TMA -10M with Oleg Kotov and Michael Hopkins. He worked on board the International Space Station as a flight engineer of ISS Expeditions 37 and 38 and returned on March 11, 2014 back to Earth.
