Sergi Vidal

Sergi Vidal Plana ( born April 9, 1981 in Badalona, Catalonia ) is a Spanish professional basketball player. He plays on the positions of the Shooting Guards Small Forwards and.

Career

The 1.98 meter tall Sergi Vidal began his career in the youth of Joventut Badalona de where he eventually in the 1999/2000 season his debut in the ACB league celebrated. In the summer of 2000, Vidal moved to TAU Vitoria with which he was able to win two Spanish league titles and four cup wins. Twice he failed with his team in the finals of ULEB Euro League ( 2000/ 01 and 2004/ 05). In August 2009, Vidal moved to Spanish giants Real Madrid. After two years at the Brussels residents, his contract was not renewed. He then signed a contract running until 2012 at Lagun Aro GBC. In the 2011/12 season he was voted as the best shooting guard ind All- Tournament team in the league ACB.

National

Sergi Vidal debuted on August 27, 2005 during a friendly match against France in the Spanish national team. He was part of the banns for the Eurobasket 2005.
