Serginho Chulapa

Serginho Chulapa ( born December 23, 1953 in São Paulo), actually Sergio Bernardino, is a former Brazilian footballer.

Serginho Chulapa played from 1974 to 1983 during Sao Paulo (Brazilian scorer in 1982 with 20 goals ). It is equipped with 242 top scorer in the history of São Paulo Futebol Clube.

Then Chulapa played among others at FC Santos, where he met with 22 goals scorer in 1983 and scored a total of 104 goals.

However, in 1978 the temperamental striker has been banned due to an attack on a line judge for 14 months and thus missed the part in the World Cup 1978. 1982 he participated with the Brazilian national team at the World Championship and once met with New Zealand and one against Argentina.

After his playing career Serginho Chulapa worked as a football coach. As coach of FC Santos, he was released in 1994 after an attack on a journalist. He is currently assistant coach at FC Santos.

Chulapa has five children and lives in Santos.
