Sergio Ahumada

Sergio Ahumada Bacho ( born October 2, 1948 in Coquimbo ) is a former Chilean football player. He played among other things, for CSD Colo -Colo and Unión Española and managed with two clubs in the entry into the final of the Copa Libertadores. He also participated with the national team of his native country at the World Cup 1974 in Germany.

Career

Club career

Sergio Ahumada was born in 1948 in Coquimbo, began playing football at Deportes La Serena, where he debuted in 1966 in the first team. Deportes La Serena remained the attacker to 1969 with a brief interruption faithful and made 58 league appearances during this period with fourteen goals for the club. For the 1970 season Ahumada was committed by CSD Colo -Colo from the capital Santiago, where he spent the next five years and experienced the most successful period of his career playful. In his first season at Colo -Colo succeeded in winning the Chilean soccer championship after in La Liga on points with Unión Española, was able to prevail in the championship decider 2-1. After a quite successful year for Unión Española Sergio Ahumada left his Chilean homeland and went to Mexico to Estudiantes Tecos. After a year Ahumada returned to Chile and played from then on CD Everton de Viña del Mar. It succeeded in 1976 winning the championship, the fourth for Sergio Ahumada and third for Everton. Total played Sergio Ahumada 1976-1978 for Everton Viña del Mar and made at this time 76 league games with thirty gates. From 1979 to 1980, the striker was at CD O'Higgins Rancagua under contract, however, came in two years only in 26 league games for use. 1981 stormed Ahumada another year for Coquimbo Unido in his hometown, before he finished his career there at the age of 33 years.

National

Between 1973 and 1977 it brought Sergio Ahumada on a total of 26 missions in the Chilean national soccer team. Here he succeeded in six Torerfolge.
