1973 Copa Libertadores

The Copa Libertadores 1973 was the 14th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 19 teams took part. It took each of the national champions of CONMEBOL countries and the second part, or the winner and finalist of the Cup competition in Bolivia, since there is no national championship was not held. Venezuela did not attend. The participants completed titleholder CA Independiente. The tournament began on February 2 and ended on 6 June 1973 with the final decider. The Argentine representative CA Independiente won the final against CSD Colo -Colo won and was able to defend his title from last year and win for the fourth time in the Copa Libertadores.
