1989 Copa Libertadores
The Copa Libertadores 1989 was the 30th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 21 teams took part. It took the national champions of CONMEBOL countries and the second part respectively. The field was completed by defending champion Nacional Montevideo. The tournament began on 12 February and ended on 31 May 1989 with the final second leg. The Colombian representative Atlético Nacional won the final against Club Olimpia and for the first time the Copa Libertadores.
