Sérgio da Rocha

Sérgio da Rocha ( born October 21, 1959 in Dobrada, State of São Paulo, Brazil) is Archbishop of Brasília.

Life

Sérgio da Rocha received on 14 December 1984, the Bishop of São Carlos, Constantino Amstalden, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On 13 June 2001, Pope John Paul II appointed titular bishop of Alba and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Fortaleza. The Archbishop of Fortaleza, José Antônio Aparecido Tosi Marques, donated to him on 11 August of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of São Carlos, Joviano de Lima Júnior SSS, and the Bishop of Bragança Paulista, Bruno Gamberini. On 31 January 2007 he was named Pope Benedict XVI. to Koadjutorerzbischof of Teresina.
