Sérgio Sant'Anna

Sérgio Sant'Anna Andrade e Silva ( born October 30, 1941 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian writer.

Sérgio Sant'Anna studied at the Law Faculty of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais ( UFMG ) in Belo Horizonte with completion in 1966, in 1967 the postgraduate studies at the Institute of Political Sciences of the University of Paris joined. From 1972 to 1975 he obtained the qualification to teach as a professor of communication studies at the Pontifical Universidade Catolica de Minas Gerais (PUC / MG ), followed from 1977 to 1990 was followed by a teacher at the Escola de Comunicação the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro ( UFRJ ). After 1990 he began to devote himself to literature and also worked as a columnist for several newspapers.

Sant'Anna wrote novels, short stories, plays and poems. His works have been translated, inter alia, into English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Czech. The multiple - Prêmio Jabuti Prize winner published since 1987 in the renowned publisher Companhia das Letras in São Paulo, in Germany the first translation of his works, Amazona, translated by Frank Heibert, 1992 was moved diá the Berlin publishing house Edition.
