Servicios Ferroviarios del Chaco

Servicios del Chaco Ferroviarios, better known by the acronym SEFECHA, an Argentine Railway Company, in the province of Chaco middle-distance and suburban passenger routes (Greater Resistencia ) is served.

History

After 1993, the state railway company was privatized, the lines remained unused for a while until they were acquired in 1996 by SEFECHA. The company is funded by the provincial government, but receives as opposed to the other railway lines no funds by the Argentine government. The operation is maintained since the founding of the company in used diesel railcars, which were adopted by the city train from Palma de Mallorca.

In May 2010, the operation of the railway lines of SEFECHA by the company Opera Dora Ferroviaria Sociedad del Estado ( SOFSE ) was taken, which is under the Argentine National Government.

Stretch

The suburban railway between Barranqueras and Puerto Tirol is so far since the privatization of the railway company the only real Vorortbahn Argentina outside of Greater Buenos Aires.
