Seth (cartoonist)

Seth ( born September 16, 1962 in Clinton, Ontario, Canada, whose real name is Gregory Gallant ) is comic book writer and illustrator. He received awards for his comic "Actually, life is beautiful " and the book design of Peanuts Complete Edition. He attended the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and currently lives in Guelph, Ontario.

Works

The main theme of Seth is the last 20th century North America. In the story " Actually, life is beautiful " (1996, It's a Good Life, If You Do not Weaken - Montreal: Drawn and Quarterly, first published as a book series Palookaville ) describes Seth as he is, with the cartoonist " Kalo " who has published one time in the 40's in the New Yorker magazine a cartoon, busy. In this search for further drawings and traces of life from " Kalo " Seth reflects his nostalgia for the past.

In Clyde Fans (2004, Clyde Fans: Book One - Montreal) tells the life story of the brothers Seth Match Card and the decline of the company Clyde fans. This story takes place in the 50s.

Wimbledon Green (2005, Wimbledon Green - Montreal ), the comic collector's scene on the topic. In brief episodes Seth describes the hunting of Wimbledon Green and his competitors for old, rare comic books.

Winner of the Eisner Award Seth was Peanuts, which are published by the American Book Company Fantagraphics Books since 2004 for the book design of the complete edition of the comic strip.
