Seth Morehead

Seth Marvin Morehead ( born August 15, 1934 in Houston, Texas, † January 17, 2006 in Shreveport, Louisiana) was an American baseball player. His nickname was Moe.

Biography

His school days spent Morehead at the Byrd High School. He signed his first professional contract with the Philadelphia Phillies and played on April 2, 1957 for the first time in the MLB. In the league he played three years for the Phillies, two for the Chicago Cubs and one season with the Milwaukee Braves. During his career, he was the last pitcher who faced Roy Campanella. He was also the last one against the Brooklyn Dodgers before the team moved to Los Angeles. Overall, Morehead threw in 132 first division matches.

He died of a heart attack.
