Shabtai Kalmanovich

Shabtai Genrichowitsch Kalmanowitsch (Hebrew שבתאי קלמנוביץ; lit Šabtajus Kalmanovičius; . Russo Шабтай Генрихович Калманович; born December 18, 1947 in Kaunas, Lithuania, † November 2, 2009 in Moscow, Russia) was a Russian businessman, patron of sports, CEO of the Women's Basketball teams of Spartak Moscow.

Life

Kalmanowitsch studied at the Polytechnic Institute of Kaunas. At the University of Jerusalem, he graduated in engineering and began his career as a producer and entrepreneur. He organized a concert tour of Galina and Valery Panov. At the invitation of Kalmanovičius came Boney M, Baccarat, Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, Liza Minnelli and Jose Carreras, inter alia, to Israel.
