Shalinsky District, Chechen Republic

The Schalinski rayon (Russian Шалинский район; Chechen Шелан кӀошт ) is a raion in the Chechen Republic in Russia. It is located southeast of the Republic capital Grozny and Argun district south of the city. Administrative center is the city of Shali.

Its population is 115,970 (as of October 14, 2010 and 2002, 109 218, 1989: 136 590 ).

There are hospitals in Shali and the village chiri -Yurt.
