Shangzhi
Shangzhi (Chinese尚志) is a county-level city in the northeastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang. It has 620,000 inhabitants ( end of 2004) and an area of 8895 km ². Shangzhi is located 124 km from the center of the provincial capital Harbin and is itself one of their administrative area.
Administrative Divisions
At the community level, Shangzhi is made up of ten large municipalities, five municipalities and two Nationality communities. These are:

- Greater community Yuanbao (元宝 镇/元宝 镇);
- Community Changshou (长寿 乡/长寿 乡);
- Community Laojieji (老街 基 乡/老街 基 乡);
- Mayan community (马 延 乡/马 延 乡);
- Community Wujimi (乌吉 密 乡/乌吉 密 乡);
- Community Zhen (珍珠 山乡/珍珠 山乡);
- Hedong community of Koreans (河东 朝鲜族 乡/河东 朝鲜族 乡);
- Yuchi community of Koreans (鱼池 朝鲜族 乡/鱼池 朝鲜族 乡).
The city was formerly called Zhuhe (珠 河). It was renamed in 1946 in honor of the resistance fighter against the Japanese occupation Zhao Shangzhi Shangzhi.
The most popular place in the city is the Yabuli Ski Center (亚布力/亚布力), which is the largest in Asia and the third largest in the world.
