Sharon Maguire

Sharon Maguire ( born 1960 ) is a British film director.

Sharon Maguire studied from 1979-1983 in English and Theatre Studies at Aberystwyth University. In postgraduate studies, she gained teaching qualifications. After she finished at City University London Journalism.

Made her feature film debut was in 2001 Bridget Jones - chocolate for breakfast, before that she directed several documentaries for the BBC Director. Her film The Godfather to the American architect Philip Johnson came up with the list of the best documentaries at the Montreal Film Festival. Her documentary Rumer Godden: An Indian Affair was nominated for the International Emmy. 2008, the film was followed by Blown Apart
