Shatar

The Mongolian Chess ( Mongolian: шатар Shatar or Shitar ᠮ ᠣ ᠩ ᠭ ᠣ ᠯ ᠰ ᠢ ᠲ ᠠ ᠷ ᠎ ᠠ ;蒙古族 象棋Chinese, Pinyin Mengguzu xiangqi ) is a popular board game of the Mongols.

Shatar in China

The Mongolian chess from the Alxa Association of Inner Mongolia is on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the People's Republic of China ( 792 ). However, form, rules and train movements resemble much more the international chess as the Chinese Xiangqi.
