Sirocco ( English thoroughbred horse, born 10 April 2001) is one of the most successful racehorses of the German horse sports.

Sirocco was a son of Champion sire monsoon. He was the fifth foal of the mare so sedulous, a daughter of Northern Dancer 's son The Minstrel, who triumphed in both English and Irish Derby in 1977.

In his first year as a racehorse (2004) Sirocco earned 568,000 euros. Among the victories of bay stallion it was also the 135th German Derby in Hamburg-Horn.

Followed in 2005 by another career highlight. Sirocco won the doped with two million dollars Breeders' Cup Turf at the New York racetrack Belmont Park, marking the biggest success of a German horse for ten years. Previously, he had reached the fourth place in the Prix de l' Arc de Triomphe in Paris -Longchamp. A subsequent start in the Breeders' Cup Classic has not been realized. Georg Baron von Ullmann sirocco sold to one of the world's largest breeder and owner, Sheikh Mohammed al - Maktoum. In its Dalham Stud sirocco is situated off the 2007 season at a stud fee of £ 10,000 as a sire.
