Shurugwi

Shurugwi, also Selukwe and Churugwi, is a place in Zimbabwe.

He has good 17,000 inhabitants (2006) and is 1,500 m high south-east of Gweru in the area of ​​the Great Dyke in the Midlands Province. Shurugwi is a town of mining. In the Shurugwi Chrome Mines, the Zimbabwe Mining and Smelting Company ( Zimasco ) promotes chromite. To a lesser extent, gold is recovered, which was the basis of the mining industry since 1890 long. The chromium is melted in Kwekwe.
