The Rajongemeinde Šiauliai ( Lithuanian: Šiauliai rajono savivaldybė ) in the Lithuanian Šiauliai district forms the southeast only a Narrow hem around the city of Šiauliai municipality, but extends the farther north and west. In the city of Šiauliai is also their administrative headquarters. The Rajongemeinde is centrally located in northern Lithuania and in the northwest of the historic landscape of Upper Lithuania ( Aukštaitija ).

The Rajongemeinde Šiauliai includes only one city, with 13,372 inhabitants Kuršėnai in 2010, however, seven towns and 521 villages.
