Sick of It All
Sick of It All ( SOIA abbreviated ) is an American hardcore punk band from Queens, New York in the year 1986. Your reputation within the hardcore scene stops since the early 1990s.
Style
Although Sick of It All is mostly perceived as old-school band and called, they also processed from the beginning Metal elements in their music, which is considered typical of the East Coast sound. History
Sick of It All was established in 1986 in addition to the New York hardcore bands Straight Ahead, and Rest in Pieces, in which Armand Majidi and Craig Setari were active. After bassist Mark McNielly and drummer David Lamb left the band, Majidi took with the Koller brothers and Rich Cipriano on the first Sick -of- it-all demo. The band began to play in Sunday 's matinee at CBGB hardcore meeting. Soon after, she published in 1987, a 7 " under the band name on Revelation Records.
The band signed in 1989 In - Effect Records and that same year released their debut album Blood, Sweat and No Tears. The lyrics deal with politics, social injustices and life on the streets of New York. It was followed two years later, the second EP We Stand Alone, also under in - Effect Records.
Your subsequent album Just Look Around was released in 1992 under the label Relativity Records. There followed the first toured Europe, South America and Japan. In 2005 she switched to specializing in metalcore and hardcore sub label Abacus by Century Media to release there in 2006 their album Death to Tyrants. The album was mixed and produced by the renowned music producer Tue Madsen ( The Haunted, Heaven Shall Burn, Dark Tranquillity ), but still retained the typical sound of the New York hardcore scene. The album was equally well received by fans and the media after the band after a 3 year break, during which she was traveling on major tours, again brought out a plate.
A year later the album Our Impact Will Be Felt, which was limited to a small number of pieces appeared. In April 2010, the album Based on a True Story appeared. These explained the British metal community Metal Hammer:
