Sidney Hayers
Sidney Hayers ( born August 24, 1921 in Edinburgh, Scotland, † February 8, 2000 in Altea, Spain) was a Scottish film director, editor, film producer and screenwriter.
Biography
Hayers began his work in film in the early 1940s, as sound assistant and focus puller.
Only in 1958 Hayers began as second unit director and editor to work so well on the Oscar - winning feature film "The Last Night of the Titanic."
Until two years before his death he directed, wrote screenplays and produced. He died in the presence of his wife, the Austrian film actress Erika Remberg of cancer.
