Siemens Energy Sector

The Siemens Energy Sector was established on 1 January 2008 as one of the four sectors of Siemens AG and is mainly engaged in the manufacture of equipment and components and services in the field of energy supply. He conducted since 1 April 2011 by the Executive Board member Michael Suess.

Divisions

The Siemens Energy Sector consists of the following divisions

  • Power Generation ( products for power generation from fossil fuels, products for the oil and gas industry, CEO: Roland Fischer)
  • Energy Services ( Energy Services, CEO: Randy Zwirn )
  • Power Transmission ( power transmission, CEO: Karlheinz Springer )
  • Wind Power ( wind turbines for offshore and onshore wind farms, CEO: Markus Tacke )

Products

  • Fossil power generation ( gas-fired power stations, gas and steam turbine power plants (CHP ) and steam power plants)
  • Components such as gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and compressors
  • Electricity generation from renewable energy (especially wind energy and hydropower)
