Silent Circle

Silent Circle is a German pop band, which became known in the 1980s, mainly by their disco hits. Members are currently: Martin Tychsen (vocals ), Harald Schäfer ( keyboards) and CC Behrens (drums). Until his departure from Silent Circle Axel Breitung was keyboardist.

The debut single of the band was Hide Away - Man Is Comin '! . With the single touch in the Night they made ​​a breakthrough, Stop the Rain in the Night and Love Is Just a Word were more successful songs from her debut album No. 1

In the 1990s, the success subsided and the group could not build on his earlier successes. Today, the band plays mostly on smaller town festivals.

The beginnings of the trio are in 1976. Keyboardist Axel Breitung and time the singer Martin Tychsen tingelten through northern Germany and occupied in a youth competition the first place. Breitung opened a company that built light and sound systems, and thus secured the constant contact with the music scene in the university town of Göttingen. The contact between Tychsen and it broke off by it.

Breitung began to write songs (including those for Wenche Myhre, Marlene Ricci and Isabel Varell ) and learned Bernd Dietrich know, who later became publisher and co- producer of Silent Circle was. Dietrich gave him the acquaintance to the then popular tour and studio drummer CC Behrens. The two completed some joint appearances, before moving to Breitung King's Bishop, a band that recorded nationally in the early 1980s with a mixture of classic rock and jazz-rock success. After the dissolution of this formation Breitung sent a demo under the pseudonym Axel B. and got a record deal.

The hammer was the single, which came in late 1983 as a NDW titles on the market.
